Drawing Using Pattern
I would like you to make a piece of art work that shows you understand pattern.
When you are done photograph the work and turn it in.
Option 1 fill in 1/4 of a sheet of graph paper with colored blocks showing that you understand pattern. Do not buy graph paper, if you don't have any, do option 2, or print this file of graph paper. graph paper.pdf Download graph paper.pdf
Below are some examples, in these samples the pattern is made with the color changes. These are fairly complex, you may do a simple pattern.
Option 2 Draw some large shapes and put a different pattern in each of the the shapes.
The samples below show pattern with shapes: stripes, checks, plaid, dots etc. My samples are black and white, but if you would like to add color that is fine with me. Just make sure you are using a pattern.
