Why: Blocking in is the most important thing you can learn in art. If the art is correctly blocked-in, the shapes, angles, and positions will be accurate.

We will do one that is similar in class. This is for if you miss class or want to try a different version. You only need to do one mouse not both. (unless you want to...)
Below are video instructions on how to draw Minnie and Mickey Mouse. This is a lesson on blocking-in. As you watch notice the for-shortening on the nose and the draw-through on the eyes, cheeks, bow and ears. I would like you to draw the mouse as you watch the video. If you can’t keep up with the video, watch a bit pause then draw. When you are done submit a photo or scan of your drawing to canvas. You may also bring me the drawing, and turn it in with your class work.
