Objective practice to improve drawing skills.
Why: Sketch books are a place to practice and record our progress in drawing. We draw to communicate. So a sketch book is one of the most important things to own as an artist. It is where we record our ideas. Good or bad. It is a place to make mistakes without worry before making a finished piece of art. It is for experimentation and reflection. It is a fun place for you to draw what you are interested in. I will only be grading that you use it. Not what you draw. (Please keep it school appropriate)
Standard: Create.
Second sketchbook check
Either upload a photo of your sketch book or show it to me. The sketch book was introduced in the first module of the semester. At this point in the term you should have about 18 pages in your sketch book filled with drawing. If you came to the class later in the term less will be expected. At this point in the term several pages should have line, shape, form and value. You may choose what to draw each day, but you should be practicing what you have learned.
