Objectives: Learn about and define, value, mark-making, and chiaroscuro. Start to learn how artists use value. Use 5 or more different kinds of mark-making to reproduce several different values.
Why: Value is the part of art that starts to show lights and darks. The mark making that an artist makes with value, will be unique to the artist. It can help identify who did the art. I think people that are good at using value bring there art to the next level. It is more than just lines and shapes, it can really have depth.
Standard: Elements and Principals of Visual Art, Create.
