Nutrition Part 2
Purpose
The purpose of this assignment is to help you to list the 6 nutrients, describe the caloric value of carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, describe the difference between saturated and unsaturated fats and name some examples of each, understand the difference between complete and incomplete proteins and name some examples of each, understand the difference between simple and complex carbohydrates and name some examples of each, describe the needs (% of total calories) of active individuals, describe the food pyramid, the five major food groups contained within, and the number of recommended servings in each food group, develop the skills needed to effectively read food labels, and perform and evaluate a personal nutrition analysis.

Review the Nutrition presentation and answer the following questions in the textbox or by attaching a file:
- You can use this Food and Nutrition log (Version: pdf Download pdf / Word Download Word) or keep track in your notes app.
- Don't change your eating patterns at all, put down everything you eat and drink. This does not need to include every ingredient, just what the food is called. See the example.
- Write down your food and drink for 3 days in a row. Also write about how you feel, how you slept and how active you were.
- NOW change at least 2 things about your food and drink habits. Record what changes you are going to make and why.
- Record your food and drink for 2 more days.
