Mr. Alder

About me: 

Hello! My name is Jayden Alder, and I am so excited to be starting my first year of teaching at Centennial Jr. High! I currently teach business, digital literacy, creative coding, exploring computer science, and web development.

Before joining Centennial, I taught in the computer lab at Kaysville Elementary and spent a year as a teacher assistant at Bear River Head Start. I graduated from BYU-Idaho in April 2024 with a degree in applied business management, and I am currently pursuing my Master of Education, Technology and Instructional Design. 

In May 2024, I married my amazing wife, who teaches 2nd grade at West Bountiful Elementary. We love traveling, shopping together, and watching Psych and The Office. I’m also passionate about sports—especially soccer and enjoy cheering on Real Salt Lake and the Utah Jazz. Photography is another hobby I enjoy in my limited free time.

I am passionate about education and believe in creating opportunities for students to explore, engage, innovate, learn, and apply. I’m thrilled to be part of the Centennial community and look forward to a fantastic year ahead!
