Creating Discussions
Discussions are valuable tools for getting your students talking and sharing what they know. You can use them before, during or after teaching. Discussions can be open for all to participate or assigned to small groups. They can also be set up to be graded. Students can then use a discussion post to share their work by uploading a file, embedding a picture, or linking to an external web site.
To Make a Discussion:
1. Click "Discussions" from the course menu on the left side of your screen
2. Click the blue "+Discussion" button
3. Give your Discussion a name
4. Enter any instructions or additional materials in the Rich Text Editor
5. Adjust your settings for the activity (users must post before seeing replies, allow threaded replies, etc)
