Verb Conjugation Practice Worksheet

In class we practiced conjugating verbs using the worksheet below.  We used 10 verbs that were on the story we were doing on the test we took on Wednesday.  

Print off the worksheet and use these verbs in each section.  Change the verb according to the subject pronoun given.

For example this is what one of your sections would look like:

Oler--to smell  I am doing this one for you because it is really irregular.  I used the 4th section of the worksheet

ella--huele	ella y tú--huelen
tú--hueles	Uds(ustedes)--huelen
mamá--huele	mis padres--huelen
yo--huelo	nosotros--olemos
El Sr. Jones-- huele	Los Jones--huelen (plural, referring to all those in a family)
la familia--huele  (it is just one family so its like talk about another person)	Las familias--huelen (now it is talking about more than one family)

  Now some of these verbs are "stem" changers or "boot" verbs.  The stem of a verb is everything except the last two letters.  So in the verb Probar (to taste),  the stem is Prob--. This verb changes from o-->ue.  Now we don't stem change in the Nosotros form.  So when we change or "conjugate" this verb it looks like this:

Yo--pruebo	Nosotros--probamos
Tú--pruebas
él, ella, usted--prueba	Ellos, ellas, ustedes--prueban

We still have to drop the -ar or er or ir of the verb and add the ending.  With stem changers we just have the extra step.
