Mrs. Hall's Happenings
The October Book Report is due on October 31.
Today is the first day of the second term. It is a great time to set new goals about getting homework done, independent reading, etc.
What We’re Learning This Week
This week we'll be finishing reading about yellow fever and will start one of two Sherlock Holmes stories we will read in this unit.
In math we'll continue to work on finding unit rates to solve ratio problems..
In social studies we will finish up our study of Ancient Egypt by learning about pyramids and how the Nile river impacted Egypt's development.
We will be starting our new science unit this week--how heat affects matter. This week we will learn about atoms and molecules.
Halloween Party
Our party will be on Monday, October 31 from 9:00-10:30 in the school gym. Students can wear a costume to school. (Please see the guidelines sent out in the Bobcat Bulletin about costumes.)
Report Cards and Parent Conferences
Report cards will be available through your myDSD account starting on October 28. Please let me know if you would like a printed copy (I will also have printed copies at our parent teacher conference). Conferences will be November 6 and 7. You can sign up for a conference time this Thursday.
